2018 Golden Grad Reunion

Members of the Class of 1968 and members of the Golden Grad Society are invited back to Tech for the 2018 Golden Grad Reunion, Nov. 2-3.

Each year, we honor the class who is celebrating 50 years since graduating from Tech by inducting them into the Golden Grad Society. This year, we'll honor members of the Class of 1968. Members of previous reunion classes who have already been inducted into the Golden Grad Society are also invited to attend.


Thursday, Nov. 1

3-8 p.m. Check-in and reconnect in the hospitality room, Quality Inn, 970 S. Jefferson Ave.

Friday, Nov. 2

8 a.m. Reception with coffee and Ralph's donuts, Alumni Building, 705 N. Dixie Ave.

10 a.m. Guided Campus Tour, departs from the Alumni Building

Noon Lunch and Class Memories, Memorial Gym on the Quad

1:30 p.m. A Walk Down Memory Lane, Historic Quad

3 p.m. Medallion ceremony, Bell Hall Auditorium, 7th St.

4:30-6 p.m. Happy hour, Alumni Building, 705 N. Dixie Ave.

Saturday, Nov. 3

9 a.m. Parade watching party and continental breakfast, Roaden University Center, 2nd floor lobby

11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tailgating in the KISS FM Tailgate Park. Stop by the Alumni Association's tent for a picture with the Pep Truck

Noon-1:30 p.m. Special guests in the President's tailgate tent, southeast corner inside Tucker Stadium. Please wear your medallion and name tag for entry

1:30 p.m. Homecoming game. Game tickets will be provided for reserved seating for the Class of 1968 in Tucker Stadium


Friday, Nov. 2

  • Tennessee Tech’s Averitt Express Baseball Complex: Shuttle services will run every 30 minutes beginning at 8:00 a.m. with a final run at 9:30 a.m. The Baseball Complex is located on University Drive, West of Willow Avenue. Student-aides will be on-site to assist guests to the proper shuttle.
    For those who are only able to attend the Medallion Ceremony and Happy Hour: shuttle services begin at 2:30 p.m..
  • Quality Inn Hotel: to campus at 8:30 a.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. The Quality Inn is located at 970 South Jefferson Avenue, Cookeville, Tennessee 38501.

A shuttle will be on stand-by all day for those who need to return to their vehicles or hotel before the reunion activities conclude at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 3

Parking on campus is open to the public on the weekends, so the lots will not be monitored and guests are free to park in the first available space, given it is not reserved for those with a handicap placard/hang-tag. Please be advised, Saturday is Tech's 90th Homecoming and spaces will likely fill up early. There is a parking lot behind the Roaden University Center and Henderson Hall that are the closest to where breakfast will be served on the second floor lobby of the Roaden University Center at 9 a.m. on Saturday. There are also open parking lots near the Volpe Library or Johnson Hall that are central to the Homecoming activities.
